Description
Plasmatronics Jackal Hot Water System Power Diverter
The Jackal diverts solar PV energy during times of low power demand, to the Hot Water System. The Jackal Power Diverter scavenges waste solar energy, especially for off-grid systems, to maximise the use of solar energy, for Hot Water. It can work with any off-grid battery system with any energy source, inverter, charge controller (AC or DC coupled, PWM, MPPT) and hot water electric tank. Simple installation by any electrician and made in Australia.
Overview of Operation:
When the battery can take all the available power, the Jackal monitors the situation and sends no energy to the load. When excess power becomes available, the Jackal detects this condition and sends only the energy that the battery can’t use to the load. The source continues delivering as much energy as it can, the battery gets what it can use and whatever it can’t use is delivered to the jackal load via the inverter and the Jackal.
